ELV’s and our De-Polluting Rig

Having our own de-polluting rig enables us to correctly & safely dispose of end of life vehicles.

When disposing of ELV’s firstly we remove the battery, detonate the airbags and de-gas the air conditioning.

We can then safely lift the car onto the rig to drain the petrol and all oils in the car.

The tyres are then removed and all contents in the car cleared and the engine removed before crushing.

Everything removed from the ELV is then disposed of appropriately, so when we crush the shell of the car there is no danger.

Our staff are all trained specifically for this equipment.
